Off the Couch

In short: the camera only sees how you move, the pictures never leave your Mac, and we collect nothing about you.

The camera

Off the Couch uses your Mac's camera so your body can control the games. Each picture is looked at on your Mac, straight away, to find where your arms, head and body are, and then thrown away. Pictures are never saved, never recorded and never sent anywhere.

What stays on your Mac

The app keeps a few small things on your Mac so it remembers them next time: your stars, the stickers you have, your best scores, your sound and music settings, and whether you have unlocked all the games. They are not sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no data sent to us.

Buying

"Unlock all games" is bought through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details.

The game engine

The app is made with Unity. Unity may receive basic, anonymous technical details about your Mac (such as its model and system version) when the app starts. This is never linked to you and never includes camera pictures.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
